The truck above met up with these two units at the truckstop.  I thought this might have been a Rip Griffin in Laramie, but Griffin's site onky lists locations in Texas.  Wasn't there a big Rip Griffin's in Barstow, Ca.?

I always liked the look of the dark blue cabs with the white frames and trailers.

You know gas was cheap when they were using a 1500 4 wheel drive 350 GMC as a pilot car.

O/O Pete at the Claysville PA Petro on 2/27.  It looks like it was practically just driven off of the dealers lot.

I was surprised at the number of Combined Transport units i saw down in SW Florida the last 2 months. All appeared to be glass haulers & none stopped in any of the truck stops i was at so i can't really contribute photos to this thread. Up through SC on I-95 and I-77 in NC  i spotted several of their trucks but they just seemed to be regular stepdecks or heavy haulers. Maybe Bordentown will yield better catches in the near future. :-D

That is an incredibly short truck..! Especially for a heavy hauler. :-o Cool catch, Mike!
