3 million mile trucks
« on: October 26, 2009, 12:59:17 PM »
This is a 2009 LoneStar awarded to a Searcy,AR driver. This will be the only LoneStar as they are to heavy for some of the loads Walmart hauls. When a driver gets 3 safe million miles with Walmart they let him or her pick out the color truck they want and the options in it.

The red one is sharp, but my pick would definitely be the LoneStar! I think it looks great in that shade of blue. My favorite Wal-Mart tractor so far.

Baja, do you know how many 3 million milers are working for Wal-Mart for the time being?  :?  Seems to me to be a company where drivers stay on for years and years.  :-)

A Walmart LoneStar....who would've thought.

Walmart has always been one of my favorite fleets next to TMC and CFI.

Thanks to roogie for the Photo!

So if i understand correctly Wal-Mart choose the Lonestar, the driver the rest(color and interior).

So they bought the Lonestar as a "flagschip",correct? So the driver got lucky that he got his 3 million miles at the wright time?

x2

I completely agree. You really don't see that anymore, Wal-Mart and CFI are the only ones that I knew did that, but since Con-way bought CFI, they don't do that anymore, and I'm glad Walmart still does.

I will have to start paying more attention to Walmart trucks, I haven't ever seen a 3 Million Miler, but I will have to keep an eye out for that LoneStar in the Missouri area.

Thanks to roogie for the Photo!
