Lotsa Axles - This Must Be Michigan
« on: July 07, 2009, 02:46:49 PM »
The equipment in Michigan (and Canada too) just made me oooh and aaah everytime i saw a different truck approaching. :-o  Far different from the east coast & New Jersey - i was just in awe with each new sighting.  8-) Here's a bunch from early June i spotted on the trip. Hope some enjoy & overlook a couple of blurry ones.  :-D

The first 2 were taken on I-69 around Imlay City.

The following 6 are on I-75 between Mount Morris and Mackinaw City.

The final 4 are on Highway 2 west in the Upper Peninsula between St. Ignace and Rapid River.

Hello Charlie,

Blurry or not, many thanks for those "Michigan Specials"!!!!!
I really love the 8-axled trailers!!!!!
Can't have enough of them!!!!! And I am still "wondering" how they can make "sharp turns" without "steering axles" like we have in Europe!!!!
My favorite is that blue KW T-800 with the flatbedtrailer and concrete "tubes" load!!! A very good idea again for a modell!!!

Rob, was that Bulk Division not Dunford and also their colors?? Are those setup's also "allowed" in Canada, or only running in Michigan??

Greetings,

Leo
Deceased.
