I was on the road for a while today and found quite a few nice trucks.  Here are the coal buckets I snapped:

That's the style of choice for most guys here Jan.  TLL Trucking whose Western Star is featured in the third pic uses a variety of tractors and I have only seen this on a couple of times.

If you will compare my coal bucket pics to Eric's most of his have sleepers and mine are daycabs.  The weight laws in Virginia are different than Kentucky so guys here like to travel light.

Ah, that's why "yours" don't have sleepers, huh? Thanks for explaining that!  8-)

HAHA I wish they were mine!

I think we could probably create a seperate heading for coal bucket pics.  We certainly see enough of them and if we have any members who live in Northern Kentucky, Southern Ohio, Southern Pennsylvania, or West Virginia they could also contribute.  I'm sure coal is mined out west as well.

That's a great idea! I know Ryan, for instance, has some coal bucket pics from Utah (and Wyoming?) - or, belly trains hauling coal, I guess, but still - so maybe we could get coal haulers from all over the US.  8-)

I would love to see that Granite up close! It does look like it has 24 inch rubber on it too. 20-23 K front and 65 rears what a setup!

Here is a new one at a local dealership.  They are quite popular in this area.
