Wabash National 668907 was built a few months ago, in October. This is the highest that I've seen these trailers, and J B Hunt has at least 8,307 of these which were started in October 2013.

The number on this trailer is 092240, and I'm not familiar with this series. This is the first time that I've seen one of these. This trailer isn't brand new, or even "fairly new" either, if you will. This trailer was manufactured by Wabash National, in July 2014. The trailer next to it is 664642 which is also a Wabash National, built in November 2014.

dino9854, gjljr727, check out this photo of a way back in the day trailer. This trailer was manufactured by Great Dane, in November 1998, and has number 37600. I never see these trailers, and this one was at an unusual location, as for being at a Toys R Us. I go by this store every day, and Toys R Us pretty much for the most part uses their own trailers. In the Swift section, Paul Kane started a topic about Swift dropping trailers off at Target. Here in the Chicago area, Target uses their own trailers and J B Hunt DCS pulls them.

This trailer also had a new plate on it. The older Great Dane plates were placed very low, towards the bottom on the front. Over time and weather, these rusted out or corroded. I remember when the 700 series 48 foot containers came out, the plate was placed higher, almost where it was on the 200 series containers manufactured by Stoughton. I don't know why later Great Dane decided to place the plate lower. The 600 series 48 foot containers had the plate in this location, along with some of the 204 series, some in the 206, and 208 series, and all of the 209 series containers, including these trailers, all had the plate at the bottom.

Back then, I never really paid much attention to dates of manufacture. If I saw a container or trailer where I didn't know that they were numbered that high, I would sometimes look at the plate to see when it was built. Sometimes it was built the same month, and sometimes the month before. Then, five minutes later I would forget. The thing that got me interested in the date of manufacture, was when I was seeing lower numbered 200 series containers still in service, and being surprised how old the container was at the time. I wish when all of the 200, 600, and 700 series containers and even these trailers were new at the time, that I paid more attention to the date of manufacture, but I just never did.

In the past, I have found some retired 700 series containers, and the plate on all of the containers which I found, was still in good condition as for being able to read it. I never found any retired 600 series or even some 200 series containers. With this 37600 trailer, I was lucky that the plate was changed out, because I was able to use this trailer for when it was built. Also, it's pretty good that the J B Hunt logo is still on the side, because in the past, I've seen it removed.

Wabash National 669427 was built a couple of months ago, in November. This is the highest trailer number that I have.

Here's another dino9854 and gjljr727 Great Dane trailer, which was built in September 1998. It had a new plate on it, and the date of manufacture was "printed" if you will, as for the plate on trailer 37600 in reply #152, which was stamped. I was able to use this trailer as for when it was built, and this is at the same Toys R Us, as in reply #152.

I also have a few items to report but they are not DCS, they are containers. But I figured that as long as I'm here, why not.

I don't have too much going on with the 299 series containers as for when they were built. I do have a 299441, and a 299461 which were manufactured by CIMC, in August 2015. Several days ago, I found 299479 which was also manufactured by CIMC, but in January 2015. I'm not sure what happened there.

I found Wabash National container 226231 which was built in November 2005. I have container 226232 which was built in December. Also, Sunday on a Norfolk Southern train, I saw container 301969.

Hyundai 660124 was built in November 2008. It's good to see these trailers, and an easy spotting feature from a distance, is the silver bar at the top. It's also good that this trailer still has the J B Hunt logo on the side.

J B Hunt is moving right along with these new trailers. Wabash National 670207 was built a few months ago, in March. These trailers are numbered up to at least 670416, which was built in April. That means J B Hunt has 9,816 trailers.

Hi George, hi Dino, it's been several months since J B Hunt has had a trailer at Toys R Us. Great Dane 37333 was built in October 1998.

J B Hunt is still busy adding new trailers, as for being numbered up to at least 676525, which was manufactured by Wabash National, last month. J B Hunt started purchasing these trailers exactly five years ago, in October 2013, starting with trailer 660600.

I found another trailer in the same number series as the one in reply 151, with the trailer number being 092212, which was manufactured by Wabash National, in October 2014. I wonder where they use these trailers, as for what part of the country, because this is only the second of these that I have seen in the past two years and ten months.

A few more new trailers added on, trailer 676600 was built last month.

Also, I found Wabash National 671425, which was built in August 2016. I have 671423 being built in July.

Wabash National 675858 was built in May 2018. I'm not sure where this new design starts, but I first started seeing these trailers last summer, in June. The lowest trailer that I have in this design, is 675813 which was also built in May.
