The only JB Cascadias I've seen have been from DCS.  This one was at Fyda Freightliner in Youngstown on 3/28/08.

Seems like for a while there, all I saw was DCS trucks. Now, I don't see as many of them, but I still see them around. What exactly is the point of DCS? Why not just run their regular tractors?

Back in 1998 JB Hunt split into 3 different divisions. Intermodal, Truckload, and Dedicated Contract Service. This was so that they could report the earnings of each seperately and get a better Idea of how each was, in terms of profit.  After the split they found out that the truckload division wasn't making a profit, and that Intermodal had been pretty much carrying them up till then. And a couple years later they found out that DCS had way to much under utilized equipment, which led to them doubling up drivers on trucks, when possible. :-D

Hmm, interesting info. Thanks! I hadn't realized DCS was around that long. I thought that was a new division, since I only started seeing them sometime last year.

They just recently started putting DCS Dedicated Contract Services decals on their trucks. Probally so they could keep better track of them. And maybe so the other divisions could'nt steal them after the account went away. :-)

Nice catch Paul,  We have one of those short noseDCS Cascadias running around here.  Actually they had 2 on Intermodal with the tiny "JB Hunt" logo on the door like u see on this one and it took me awhile to figure out why such a small logo that wasnt centered on the doors.  They actually were logo'd as "DCS" trucks then they took the DCS logo off since hte trucks were being used by intermodal. lol

Yesterday I saw a midroof Cascadia for JB DCS and it had all alluminum wheels pulling a Meijer trailer with Meijer decals on the Cascadia. Also those JB short hood Cascadias withn alluminum wheels are all over Chicago, unfortuanetly some of them already look like sh!*.
