i love early morning trucking
« on: February 23, 2008, 04:52:34 AM »
I left Colby,Kansas about 2:30mst this morning. in 130 miles, I have only passed 2 people while heading westbound across interstate 70 in western kansas for 50 miles, and the rest so far in colorado, a cfi truck and a triple crown o/o. roads are dry and its aroun 32degrees out. I love real early trucking.

my plan is to stop in rock springs, wyoming at the end of the day and visit one of my best friends from high school who I have not seen in years. that's the plan so far!
filthy stinking rich. 2 out of 3 ain't bad.

I love traveling at that time too. When we go to see family in Kansas, we leave at about three in the morning. I really love watching the sunrise on the prairie... the mountains where I live are pretty, but they ruin sunrises. I like to leave as early as possible when going camping too because I don't have to deal with traffic when I'm driving the truck with the camper and boat trailer. My favorite time to be on the big road is when the sun is just about to break the horizon and big trucks shut off their headlights and leave just the markers on. 8-)

Have fun in Rock Springs, don't blow over.
Class...you either have it, or you don't.

Wheres the LTL's, all I see is these Transx drivers that dont know how to drive on slush. :-P

Actually i've seen a ton more O/O's spun out on the hills, good thing Oregon bought 2 more push trucks for Siskiyou this year.

Chain restrictions on = road closed = no money for Brad.  I'd rather take 10 minutes and throw a set of 3-railers and keep on truckin'.

Theres not stopping for us Brad, we get out and throw on the chains and run. We dont have an option to park the truck, unless it is so unsafe that the road is closed.
