Drove past there yesterday afternoon. The CF logo is still on the building. :? :?
Didn't T'force buy the Interport building?

Interport>>that's the one on Dixie Road, just south of the 401, on the east side isn't it?

Been a lot of years since I saw a bond shed.

5425 Dixie Road...

I started working there in 1974; so the facade that faces Dixie Road is the "new wing" to me.
CF bought Interport from Direct; I guess when they moved out from their downtown Toronto terminal.
Over the years; the BOND-ON procedure has fallen out of favour; most LTL clears at the border now.The business fell off so badly that MIDCON closed up operations. Interport still gets business though.

When Transforce bought Canadian Freightways; I believe they did get the eastern operations. Interport, which after all sits on a very valuable piece of property, was part of CF's eastern opeation to the best of my knowlege.

So maybe, Transforce didn't buy the bricks and mortar, that could have sold separately.
That could be the last CF LOGO that is on a maintained building.

TRANSFORCE renamed INTERPORT to STREAM  :?, and TRANSFORCE is presently revaluating all their property holdings to see which are worth more $ to sell off , which ones are useful for future plans and what they need for the future.

This is the Interport Terminal. Transforce got it when they grabbed Canadian Freightways.
As recently as Christmas 2006; the big CF symbol was still on the outside of the building.
Today, however, I noticed that a new name was on the exterior

TRANSFORCE
Pics to follow soon.

I went on St.Francois road in St.Laurent last week. It is HUGE. Got pictures to follow too. Also, when you use Cote-de-Liesse highway, pay attention on the airport side, because the Kingsway sign (in its 60's style) is still there. If I am correct, that terminal is used by Purolator or some other courier.

At the gate one evening in June 2010 - alphabetically, not in order of arrival / departure.

The Transports DPM trailer is quite a rare catch. A few ones are remaining, but compared to the original JC Germain, then Interforce and Labonté, they're a just a tiny part of the roster. By the way, last week, I found a fully lettered JCG tractor with the ex-DPM Pont-Rouge address and phone number in the area code 418 (instead of the usual JCG's Trois-Rivieres address and area code 819 phone number). I'll try to post it asap.

By the way, the address listed on the Transforce website for Trans4 Logistics has changed from the Gateway post office surroundings to Interport.

I thought the DPM trailer was just an interline with JCG, it didn't realize it was a heritage carrier, thanks for that.
I checked on the Customs website and 5425 Dixie is still listed as "Interport" not Stream. I assembled some older threads about the plaqce here to give some continuity.
I still have a soft spot for it since I worked there over 35 years ago.
