Eilen & Sons - updated February 4
« on: February 02, 2008, 02:10:13 PM »
I don't know why I've waited so long in posting these pics I got at Eilen & Sons' yard outside Hampton, MN.  I accidentally happened upon it while cruising along the country roads there, and as luck would have it, I got permission from Mr. Eilen himself to get some pics of his trucks. He said he'd wished I'd come by a little later in the day, after they'd had time to clean them, but he said I could take all the pics I wanted in spite of them being dirty.

I will post them in several installments...

First, "Iron Outlaw", my favorite of Eilen's Petes.

They had cleaned out its trailer just before I came by.

Here is "The Joker Went Wild", their latest creation, which was in the show 'n shine at MATS last spring.

The Joker rig parked next to the KW daycab they have, which I tend to like better than all the Petes, even "Iron Outlaw"...

More of the KW.

More to come!

I wonder how long it took them to clean and polish that trailer? Looks like A LOT of work!

Those are some pretty sharp rigs, the paint on the Joker is a li'l TOO "wild" for me though.
Class...you either have it, or you don't.

I agree on the Joker rig. I prefer the white one, it's a little simpler and classier.

It definitely would! Now, as you know, the "Iron Outlaw" Pete has been made by DCP, but the trailer is, of course, totally different from the real trailer, and all in all I wasn't too happy about that model... as for the KW, though, that should be easier to make!
