This is not my picture but was sent to me about 2 weeks ago.  I have heard reports of 17 of these that came through Atlanta and apparently 10 of them have been on the road for a week or so but I have yet to lay eyes on one.  Rumored to be Detroit powered with 10 speed manuals, and a tag axle setup very similar to the ones on the Sterlings we have.

A new Freightliner Cascadia twin screw has made it to my neck of the woods. Saw this one at the dealer a week or so ago, it was just delivered.

On NEMF's facebook page, they posted pics of new FL- M2 trucks. They have about ordered about 100. They've taken delivery of about 50 so far. They are numbered 22***, 23***, and 24***. Interesting as I usually don't see too many LTL companies but New P&D equipment very often.

Saw those pictures of the new NEMF Freightliners.  The unit numbers all end in 15 which designates the model year.  The new NEMF numbering system is 2 for a single axle, next two digits are sequence number and last two digits model year.  Likewise a tandem tractor starts with 3.  So 23315 would be a 2015 single axle and 33315 would be a 2015 tandem tractor.

Someone just posted a photo of a brand new UPS drop frame pup on Facebook.
The foot turned to the horse, the horse to the carriage, the carriage to the train, and the train to the truck.

I don't want to post the photo directly without the owner's permission, but try this link. https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xfa1/t31.0-8/10629502_898838806807242_3584680039477474127_o.jpg

Thanks Dave. I have a friend that drives feeders for ups and he said they ordered 1100 of them. But he didn't believe it so I sent that along to him.

Also at the rail yard, saw a brand new reddaway 35ft pup on the train. It looks to be yellow spec.

Finally, some new YRC equipment.  If someone feels necessary to move this post to the LTL trailer board, that's fine, too.  Ok, rumor has it there are 1000 trailers coming  Looks like they are Stougton's, similar to the 200 they bought (leased) about a year ago.

Looks like the new ones have skirts, along with the LED clearance lights. Placard mounts are on the skirt. Also, the E track is 12 inches apart instead of 18 inches, which was a bad location.  The new pup is sitting next to last years trailer, notice how close the numbers are.

Good information, will have to check the Strougton post to check the last number in that 200 series lease.
