Stanley Houghton caught a Ward Trucking Volvo VNM. I never speculated they would try Volvo, but what LTL company isn't these days...

Estes, and A. Duie Pyle, Hasn't Gone over to Volvo Yet, Thank Goodness :-D BTW, Didnt Paul Kane Just Catch a Ward Columbia Daycab as well  :?

Ward has had a smattering of Columbia daycabs and sleepers for a couple of years now, you just don't see them very often.

Estes has one Volvo out of West Middlesex, I think I posted it some time ago.

Ward sleepers would be in the Truckload Express division

Would That Estes Volvo Be a VN or Newer Tractor Paul,  :? Because I knew about The Volvo VNs, Because, My Local Terminal Has at Least 1 or 2 of those Older VNs as well  :-D I thought that The Group was actually Talking about Fleets of Newer Volvos like UPSF and Fedex Runs  :?

I've only seen Sterlings for them, it's inevitable that all the Sterling users find a new make, however an account like Central you'd think FL would cut them a deal to keep their business.

Now go back out and get us a pic.  ;D

They have some older Volvo WG42Ts in the fleet in certain areas.  I'm actually surprised they don't have newer Internationals.

The older Volvo's I believe came from Chrysler Transort a few year's back. I know here in Mi. that Matty Moroun (owner of Central Transport) used to to go the auction's himself, now he send's his errand boy's, or get's a hold of the dealer involved in the new purchase truck's in order to get some of the tradin's.
