Don't know if this has been mentioned before or not but i spotted an Estes KW T800 twin screw day cab pulling a set of pups on I-495 today in Washington DC.

It was, but I was starting to think it was a mis-type, as I've yet to see one.  I'm sure it looks good in Estes colors.  I'd love to see one.
The foot turned to the horse, the horse to the carriage, the carriage to the train, and the train to the truck.

I'm not sure if these have been mentioned or not, but this evening I was riding along in traffic with a Pitt Ohio IH 8600.  First one I can recall seeing.  It had a drivers name badge on the door and was out of their Washignton, Pa terminal (Eighty-Four?).

Meh, your not missing out on anything, Ray. Nothing to really write home about either, its the same as an 08, just with a little sticker saying it can go to Cal.

California.

I'm kind of the same, I want one just to have it. I've got 2 ProStars, now I just need a Volvo, and that rumored Cascadia!

Their Pinnacles would be nice too.  As well as that moving van!

Yeah that's ours. 1 year old with a whopping 70,000 miles because it hasn't gone more than 2 months without a meltdown. It actually has 2 driver badges-both the road and city drivers have million mile awards. The city driver loves it, says it quiet and very comfortable, but I don't think Transtars have a future in the fleet.

Spotted a new UPS Freight Reefer pup with liftgate being pulled by a single axle UPSF Prostar.   Very sharp combo.  First time I have ever seen a UPSF reefer pup with a liftgate on it :-o

To my knowledge, none of the liftgates reefers are new. We got this one new when I was at Motor Cargo in 2004. Thats the newest that I know of besides the long boxes and the 32's.

On a side note, say good bye to the ProStars and Volvo's from Eugene, Portland, and Seattle. They are being "Volunteered" to be sent down to the Cal terminals to meet emission requirements. The junk is being sent back up for the Northwest guys. Something they are used to by now.

Last year when I ran Medford a few months I would see the same guy every day coming south on I-5 toward the Medford terminal with a UPS Freight smooth sided reefer with liftgate.  He always had a line tractor but I assumed it was a city trailer based in Medford.
