Big L,

Thanks for the photos of the new tractors. That Yellow 3 axle is one of the ones reported on in our weekly "fish wrapper" about 2 or 3 months ago, think I did a post on it...

So is all new line power for Yellow & Roadway Twin Screw?

I don't know the ratio of 3 axles to 2 axles but its got to be pretty small here at Yellow. All the line 3 axles I've seen are about 5 or 6 years old now, so I guess it was time to bring in some new units.

Joe,

Yes it will be very interesting to see how they do things, and it will be pretty cool to see Cascadias and ProStars in their colors.

Red,

They have new Sterlings and the new Columbia sleeper team rigs that are not, and i've seen Volvo's that are s/a as well.
Welcome to the 21st century. Things are going to change.- G.S.

I know they're both part of the Shevell Group but Monday (1/21) i saw 2 or 3 NEMF trailers being pulled by Carrier Industries Inc. Mack CH's out in PA. First time i've seen these 2 carriers intermingled.  :-o

Carrier Industries is part of The Shevell Group. Last week one of their trailers was down at The NEMF Terminal in Elizabeth.
Old Navy has a hugh whse in Fishkill, N.Y. right off 84. The house carrier is Carrier Industries.
The only tractors I have seen them with are Mack CH's and usually 28' pup's doubles.
There is also plenty of NEMF and Eastern Freightways activity at this location.

I've seen a couple single axle Volvo's too, that came in with the twin screw.  Was told YRC is interested in the new "next generation" Detroit, however it's only available in a Sterling or a Freightliner. Yellow KCM is testing a couple of Sterlings's, but haven't seen them.

Don't worry Ray, only some of the Dedicated tractors, and a handful of LTL tractors are a solid white with a different colored logo.  The main bulk of the LTL tractors to my knowledge are staying the well known livery.

Yup, they sure are like bumble bees with those colors.  But it's not the livery, it's those ugly 8600s that sting my eyes!
