Well it may be an old Con-Way Ford Aeromax but it's pullin' a fairly new CFI trailer.

I saw a  Estes F-liner FL112 day-cab pulling a 53" . I did a triple take. I've never seen a freightliner for estes ever.

I got a weird one for you all.  There's an Old Dominion INTERNATIONAL 9100 doing P&D work in my area.  I have a really crappy picture of it but I'm going to try to do better.

It definately was a FLC. That's interesting. I've never seen any FLD sleepers for them either. I always thought they ran the Inter 9200s for special services div.

On another note, I have also seen dark blue Volvo VNs pulling Estes Innovative trailers. I've seen 3 or 4 in the last few weeks.

I guess they must have migrated north, I haven't seen them down here in a long time.

This is new to me, but I've seen a couple of Yellow volvos pulling Midland trailers (from Dieppe, New Brunswick, I think I got the spelling right??). Does Yellow do some work for Mdland locally in some areas?

BTW charlie, nice pix of the Estes F-Liners. It's a real treat to see rare equipment.

Saw a company out west called DL.  I've recently learned that they're called Dot Line.  Are they a new LTL company or are they a small western company like DATS or Peninsula.

Also saw some interesting Fedex combos over the summer.
1.) A FedEx Ground 379 with ABF doubles
2.) FedEx National LTL sleeper with a newly branded trailer and a CENTRAL TRANSPORT PUP on the end
3.) FedEx National LTL Freightliner Columbia single axle sleeper with doubles
4.) (Unconfirmed) My mom says she saw an Eastern Freightways Mack with a Watkins trailer.
5.) FedEx Ground tractor with a Forward Air 53' trailer.
Any reasons why I'd see such bizarre set-ups will be greatly appreciated.
The foot turned to the horse, the horse to the carriage, the carriage to the train, and the train to the truck.

Dot Line has been around for a number of years. I think they are a smaller LTL company. Maybe someone knows more about them.

2.) I have seen the F-Liner columbia sleeper single axle a couple of times when FedEx national was still Watkins, so they have had those for a year or two, I think.
4.) Your mom probably wasn't lying, because I've seen 2 or 3 Eastern Frieghtways trucks pulling Schneider trailers near the JC Penney warehouse in my town. I wonder if Eastern maybe was moving the Watkins trailer for them?

I figured the Freightliner was a test unit.  Your guess is as good as mine about the EF truck.

I see Central Transport pups in the Fedex (ex Watkins) yard up in Newark. I think we discussed this a while back and figured Fedex hauls the new CT pups for delivery.
