Passed an Old Dominion driver yesterday who was pulling what appeared to be a brand new converter.  The odd thing about it was it looked to be galvanized bare metal instead of their normal green painted unit.  Was Super Single equipped.

Wasn't a good picture opportunity but I'll keep my eyes open for one.

roog /quote]  They're fairly new they started coming into the fleet about two years ago, then they were all recalled by Wabash to have frames reinforced,OD bought more than 500 of them this year, they are'nt galvinized(or at least they dont have the "do not weld or drill"notice on them like on our galvinized dollies) just painted silver.

Cool, I'd not seen any like that.

PS. Hope I didn't startle you when I honked at you a week or so ago, I didn't have my radio in.  :)

I've had my truck back since April so I had them, maybe it was just the distraction, I know it wasn't because I passed you too quickly.  :D

First time for the IH in red. Kind of a surprise. :)

I wonder if those red 8600s are leased? It looks like a Lily truck.
The foot turned to the horse, the horse to the carriage, the carriage to the train, and the train to the truck.

Those red NEMF 8600's are ex-Alvan Motor freight.  They are 2006 models and will probably be repainted to NEMF colors when they are due for their first refurbishing (or when they go in for their first million mile check up, whichever comes first)

About time they started getting new tractors.  Newest I've seen for them until now was an International 9100.
