As many of you probably already know swift is phasing out the freightliner fld-120 from their operation..I just got of a 570 mile run and I would say approximately only 30% of the swift trucks I saw were fld-120s..So get your cameras out before there all gone!!!

Hey, Mike thanks for the tip.  I see them here in Montana quite a bit.  I am going to Denver in November - I heard Swift has a yard in Denver but i could be wrong.  I remember they have one near portland someone where.  You might be able to get some good pictures yourself.
See you on down the road jack!!

Here is another example of what is a common everyday sight one day changes. I don't  see SWIFT too often up here in Toronto, but from what I see on Hanks site the FLD was seen all over the USA.
Shoot the common stuff as well as the fancy show trucks.

Their yard in Denver is off the Quebec St exit.  Head south and take a left on Smith, I believe.  You can see it from I-70 on the south side of the road.  Their yard by Portland is in Troutdale.  Get off at the Flying J and it's up north of the Interstate.

Well, I got a Swift last month too. It was pulling an M.S.Carriers trailer. But, I don't think it was a US fleet tractor. The mudflaps had ARROW TRUCK SALES with the area code 905 (Mississauga) phone number. I'm guessing it was a Canadian owner-op's tractor. They were looking for owner- ops up here awhile ago, offering a whopping $0.76 per mile.

The yard is not to far from the home depot near the Sapp Bros truck stop

Are you sure they are going bye bye?

While I was filling up at the local TA truckstop, I saw 3 Swift FLDs in a 10 minute period on I-90.  And I saw 1 more when I was walking out of a Harley Davidson dealer.  So if they are going bye the wayside, they definatly are out in numbers here in WI.

With around 15,000 trucks, it's going to take a while to phase them all out with the Columbia's and Volvo's.  I still see quite a few out here, as most of the Costco heavy haul fleet is made up of FLD's.
