Recognize The Area This Was Taken In?
« on: June 26, 2007, 06:17:32 PM »
This is one of the units I've photographed before, the picture was taken just a few hundred yards from where I sit by the freeway to take pictures. :-D

However, I noticed a mistake... it says THIS picture was taken at the port of entry in Brigham City, but I'm almost certain this is in Idaho.

Hank got to see at least one of Tramcor's newer trains.

I also saw a picture of a Robinson train and a Peck train. :-o
I get to see this truck a couple times a week usually too, it's a shame no one captured Francis #45 though. :|

This lil' guy was caught by Virginia on I-70 in Utah, we've seen it on the east coast before! 8-)

I am so jealous of what Hank and Virginia got to see. There is so many things I saw on the third day I can't even count.

Also on a side note I don't think we give enought credit to Virginia for the photos she takes for Hank while he is driving. Hank if you look at this I want to thank your wife aswell for giving us such great photos.

Yes, I try to remember to mention that it was taken by Virginia... she really doesn't get enough credit from us guys.

I know she takes a ton of the pictures, but I have kind of bad eyes so sometimes I can't read who took the picture or not.  I'm not even an adult yet.. :-D

But you two are right, she does deserve more credit than we give her.

Thank you! :-D

Looking over pictures from his trip, I've decided I need to go on I-70 through Utah to Colorado sometime... I haven't covered that road yet, looks beautiful. :-o

Looking at the landscape in the back ground"out in the middle of nowhere" would have worked for a location and unless things have changed in the last 25 years that's about where it is.

I like that truck too Pat.  I'm not the biggest fan of trucks that are all shined and chromed up but that is a sharp truck.

Those Estes trucks were made for that desert landscape.

It still seems odd though seeing Estes, Saia, R and L, all out west, I still think of them as southeast carriers.  It seems like R and L quietly expanded their territory.

Before deregulation I never saw a Saia outside of Louisiana
