Daycabs Around The Windy City
« on: June 08, 2007, 04:59:25 PM »
I'm guessin' there's a bunch of you all out there who like daycabs as much as i do. It doesn't take a large car to turn my head, a smart lookin' city rig can do it do. Here's some from last week while passing the outskirts of Chicago; different too in that i never get to see most of these outfits in NJ.

Sandbarg International

Tower Oil Mack Vision

Carmichael Sterling

Lexington Steel Pete

Ferrellgas KW T800

Keller International

Harley-Davidson FL Columbia

IMO The Custom Companies colors are a throwback to the golden LTL days. Even on this International 8600 they look good.

Banner International

Rockford Products FL Columbia

FL Columbia tanker

Tax Air Volvo

Ahhhh gotta love the daycabs.  :-D

Thats red Columbia tanker..... that appears to be a Foodliner rig to me. They have the 112" bbc on their sleeper trucks too.

Keep em coming!

Tax Air Volvo

I like seeing those aircargo fleets. I spent a lot of years at YYZ.
ORD is the HUB for air cargo in North America; so much goes in, out or through.

I think you're right Steve. Didn't make notes but i saw a lot of Foodliner daycabs. In fact i saw a bunch of companies operating daycabs out in the midwest that i never see back on the east coast. Glad you like.  :-)

Thanks CACHman. Enjoyed seein' the different trucks around your city; could have spent a whole day there. Unfortunately got a later start than expected, hit rush hour comin' down & got behind schedule so no hookin' up this time.  :-(  Btw, i'll take Jersey rush hours any day of the week.  :-D

I took this shot a couple of days earlier on I-43 in Whitefish Bay WI. Same outfit, saw a lot of their trucks around. Must be a big player around the area.
