Title: Argosy carriers
Post by: carl_roy on October 21, 2004, 04:25:50 AM
Another carrier I remeber was Agogsy carriers I believe that they were taken over by Maislin post going broke.
Come to think about when I think about Maislin my blood pressure boils
when I think about the bank of commerce pulling the plug. I believe the plug was pulled real quick. But by the same token management didn't do a real prudent job either.

Argosy doesn't strike a bell but Maislin sure does.
Do you remember that Pierre Trudeau got Maislin a loan guarentee of some sort before they went under?
I'm surprised he didn't get CN trucks to buy and prop them up.

I sure do I think it was 25 million which helped to pay off some creditors in part but if memory serves me right that ticked C.I.B.C. big time and not too much later they pulled the plug.
