Title: ONE
Post by: Ruffin51 on August 02, 2018, 02:10:13 PM
I recently moved back to the Chicago area and took a job with the newly formed ONE - OCEAN NETWORK EXPRESS - formed by the merger of the container activities of MOL, NYK and K Line. Have you guys seen any of our containers yet? The reverse of this livery is also out there. This is at CP in Franklin Park, Illinois

Nice find! I haven't seen any yet on the Baltimore-DMV can pipeline but I'll be keeping an eye out. Always nice to see new liveries, do you know if they will be repainting the old cans too? I hope not, all 3 of those are already hard to find.

Have not heard of any plans to repaint old containers.

Unlikely. They will still be under either NYK, K-Line, MOL designation.

Saw 3 of them last week.2 on a CN train heading East towards Halifax. The other one was in the yard of the trucking company where I work.

The colour and the lettering are very close with the new CP container.

one of these on the rail passing thru West Texas...

The ONE plan on three of the  lines which years back were the FIVE LINES consortium...

A driver friend of mine sent me a picture last night from a live unload at a distribution center in Aberdeen, MD. There was a "One" Container dropped in the door next to him. They have hit the east coast as well.

I've spent a pair of days recently out train spotting on NS' b-line to Manassas, and have seen about 15-20 of these 40 footers across 3 or so trains now. IIRC some of the trains originate out of Harrisburg and make their way down to the inland Port of VA on their way to ATL/Norfolk. Safe to say they're def out here now.

Seeing them pretty regularly here in Nashville. No photos yet though

A few notes:

There are also "reverse" containers, light grey with magenta logos. These seem much more uncommon so far.
There seem to be far more leased boxes than ONEU boxes. Most common seem to be TLLU 45G1s, although TLLU 42G1s are out there. Most 42G1s seem to be UETU. There are also FDCU 45G1s and FBIU 22G1s.

Well; I finally saw ONE this afternoon.
No picture though.
It was grey with the "Magenta? (looked pink to me) lettering.
Musket had it. That should mean a picture before too long I hope.

With that colour the container would fit better in a candy warehouse yard ;D ;D

Nice shot Charlie. I haven't seen any yet outside of trains and rail yards, but I did see another 10-15 in the Port of Richmond last weekend as I made a quick back-and-forth to NC to help my family out.

Liked the link Charlie. The Brit Aircraft Carrier has a sister ship on the stocks as we speak. It is at Rosyth Dock Yard
on the river Forth near Edinburgh. I see its progress most days as I am heading for the new Forth Bridge ( Queensferry Crossing )
It is now sitting in dry dock all covered in Polythene.    Bob.

Started seeing these in my area recently.  This one was the first I've ben able to shoot, taken on I-79 outside of Pittsburgh on Friday 11/23.  The tractor is a rental, but has a "TT" number.  Is this the same designation you see on the turnpike tractors?

The "TT" designation appears to be the same one I see on tractors on the New York Thruway.

Pictures don't usually justify how much they stand out when you see them in person - against the rest of traffic, other containers on trains/in yards/on ships, etc. Reefers are out there too now, yet to spot one stateside. I love working at this company, too. Great people here.

Good catch, Mike. It will be cool to find a 40 on top of two matched 20s in the future. The 20s are still pretty uncommon; all I am aware of are leased from Florens with FBIU prefix

I was nearly able to bag ONE!
Just as I left Tim Hortons the other morning a Musket with a ONE can came past.
Should've waited another 5 minutes.

It was in Elk Grove Village at a warehouse along Devon between Lively Blvd, and Tonnelle Road. I have some areas in Elk Grove where I can scope some J B Hunt, and as I was passing by I saw this container.

Starting to see a lot of 20 footers over here in Scotland ( no pics as yet.). The area they were in they could have been
heading to Baxters Soups , Walkers Shortbread or as they were on the Whisky Trail (Speyside ) to load our National Falling Down Water.

Ruffin. I will do my best for you. I did not see the letters all I managed to see was the start of the numbers
as 618 and there was an 0 in there as well. I will try to find out what Port they are entering I.E. Greenock ( West Coast )
or Grangemouth ( East Coast ) via Rotterdam. As I said will do my best for you hopefully with some photos.    Bob.

The Fugitive and all - thanks for keeping the prefix/container numbers coming. Haven't seen anything new besides reefers popping up recently. I have seen 20' reefers in Japan even, on Twitter.
