Title: Silkeborg Veteranrally, pt. 3
Post by: norseman on June 10, 2017, 10:59:25 AM
What the heck, here's another batch of road run pics from today. The wifi at this motel in Viborg, Denmark is exceptionally good, so I've been able to upload plenty of pics this evening.

Very cool 1987 Scania 142H crane semi owned by Stephen Dixen, Ullerup. This would have been a very heavy truck mounted crane back then.

1975 Scania LBS 140 in the livery of Ole Larsen, Hasle, which has developed into a pretty large trucking company based in Brabrand outside Aarhus.

1974 Scania 140 Super in the livery of Verner L. Pedersen, Grenaa.

German Scania 111 with an interesting looking "high roof" cab.
(https://bulk-share.slickpic.com/album/share/DgN4d22UMg5dMx/13893875.0/300/p/DSC_1634.jpg) (https://bulk-share.slickpic.com/album/share/DgN4d22UMg5dMx/13893875.0/1300/p/DSC_1634.jpg)

1976 Volvo F89 owned by Henrik Rytter, Skørping.
(https://bulk-share.slickpic.com/album/share/DgN4d22UMg5dMx/13893829.0/300/p/DSC_1668.jpg) (https://bulk-share.slickpic.com/album/share/DgN4d22UMg5dMx/13893829.0/1300/p/DSC_1668.jpg)

Very interesting looking 1976 model Scania 140-based "Målevogn" ("measuring vehicle") in the livery of Vejdirektoratet ("The Danish Road Directorate"). I am not sure what this was used for, really.
(https://bulk-share.slickpic.com/album/share/DgN4d22UMg5dMx/13893823.0/300/p/DSC_1681.jpg) (https://bulk-share.slickpic.com/album/share/DgN4d22UMg5dMx/13893823.0/1300/p/DSC_1681.jpg)

Dutch Volvo F88 owned by Leo Bol, and in the livery of Mol BV, Avenhorn, Holland.
(https://bulk-share.slickpic.com/album/share/DgN4d22UMg5dMx/13893826.0/300/p/DSC_1710.jpg) (https://bulk-share.slickpic.com/album/share/DgN4d22UMg5dMx/13893826.0/1300/p/DSC_1710.jpg)

Another Dutch rig, this one a Scania 141 in the livery of Klein, which I suspect is a made-up company.

1976 Scania LS 111 in the livery of Niels Hansen Transport, Hedensted.
(https://bulk-share.slickpic.com/album/share/DgN4d22UMg5dMx/13893828.0/300/p/DSC_1748.jpg) (https://bulk-share.slickpic.com/album/share/DgN4d22UMg5dMx/13893828.0/1300/p/DSC_1748.jpg)

1978 Scania 111 in the livery of Peter T. Thomsen, Stenderup.
(https://bulk-share.slickpic.com/album/share/DgN4d22UMg5dMx/13893825.0/300/p/DSC_1778.jpg) (https://bulk-share.slickpic.com/album/share/DgN4d22UMg5dMx/13893825.0/1300/p/DSC_1778.jpg)

1979 Scania 141 in the livery of Niels Jensen Maskintransport, with customization typical of the era.
(https://bulk-share.slickpic.com/album/share/DgN4d22UMg5dMx/13893831.0/300/p/DSC_1790.jpg) (https://bulk-share.slickpic.com/album/share/DgN4d22UMg5dMx/13893831.0/1300/p/DSC_1790.jpg)

1980 Scania 111 owned by Frank Nørager, Hjortdal.
(https://bulk-share.slickpic.com/album/share/DgN4d22UMg5dMx/13893830.0/300/p/DSC_1804.jpg) (https://bulk-share.slickpic.com/album/share/DgN4d22UMg5dMx/13893830.0/1300/p/DSC_1804.jpg)

Dutch Volvo F10 in the livery of MUL Transport, Zwanenburg, Holland.
(https://bulk-share.slickpic.com/album/share/DgN4d22UMg5dMx/13893832.0/300/p/DSC_1823.jpg) (https://bulk-share.slickpic.com/album/share/DgN4d22UMg5dMx/13893832.0/1300/p/DSC_1823.jpg)

This was the only Swedish participant, a Scania 142H in the legendary livery of Autotransit, and owned by Bröderna Eliasson, Mölndal.
(https://bulk-share.slickpic.com/album/share/DgN4d22UMg5dMx/13893834.0/300/p/DSC_1905.jpg) (https://bulk-share.slickpic.com/album/share/DgN4d22UMg5dMx/13893834.0/1300/p/DSC_1905.jpg)

1986 Scania T112H in the livery of Knud Nielsen, Kirke-Hyllinge.
(https://bulk-share.slickpic.com/album/share/DgN4d22UMg5dMx/13893837.0/300/p/DSC_1925.jpg) (https://bulk-share.slickpic.com/album/share/DgN4d22UMg5dMx/13893837.0/1300/p/DSC_1925.jpg)

Ending with a very cool and beefy looking German Scania 111 with an unusual looking high roof cab, in the livery of Klaus Sieh Int. Ferntransporte.
(https://bulk-share.slickpic.com/album/share/DgN4d22UMg5dMx/13893836.0/300/p/DSC_1936.jpg) (https://bulk-share.slickpic.com/album/share/DgN4d22UMg5dMx/13893836.0/1300/p/DSC_1936.jpg)

It is nice to see the Leo Bol F88 as he is famed for his Scania restorations.      Bob.

The MUL unit looks like Laidlaw of the Mike DeGroote era.

Is this a Dutch color combination?
