Title: Wood's Transport Hespeler (Cambridge)
Post by: maxphunn on October 24, 2012, 06:16:19 PM

Does anybody here have pics of Wood's Transport trucks? In the early 1960's Wood's operated
out of a terminal they built at Queen St. in Hespeler (Cambridge). Their
trucks were red with green fenders. Mostly Fords and I believe a couple old White WD-22's.

The business was sold to Dominion Consolidated at some time, and later Challenger operated out
of that terminal before building their new place on Maple Grove.

My dad was the fleet superintendent for Wood's and as a kid I spent a lot of time there.
I have been searching for pics of some of their rigs but have come up empty handed.

Thanks.

I remember company called Harry Wood's Transport, I thought they were bought out by Mel Hall. Not the same company?

Jim.
