Monday 9/5/11 (Labor day), is observed as a U.S. Federal Holiday that celebrates the economic and social contributions of workers. Although most enjoy the day off, plenty of trucking continues:

I thought I'd bend the rules for Sept 14th for a "shoot of the day" as these three classic style Pittsburgh area steel haulers were running together EB on I-376 into downtown.  The first two run for Clay Trucking of Saltsburg PA, the Marmon for BeeMac of Sewickley.

Hello Paul,

For that "Marmon" you have my "permission" to break that rule!!!!! ;D ;D ;D :D :D :D ;) ;) ;)

That one is now also "loud screaming" for a "model"!!!!!
(Using the old Revell 1/25-scale "Marmon/Peterbilt" kit with a "rebuild/scratchbuild" hood!!!!!)

I found an "unbuild" (but also "incomplete", but fortunally no "essential parts") one in Ebay!!!!!

Greetings from Germany,

The DAFman, Leo

Isn't that an ex-Western?

Don't think so Paul....at least that's the impression i got from the driver. He said the company got 4 of them and his was the newest. After looking at some Western tractor photos i've changed my mind. ;D The pinstriping (and other things) look identical to Western rigs. Wish i had asked if it were bought new or used. >:(

Western has been selling lots (as in groups) of 389's, 386's, and I saw VT880's too, so I think it is an Ex-Western.
