I'm thinking about taking a dedicated route in Fl. I put my name on the list.

I'll update this with more about me later today.  if anybody is interested here's what I've been enjoying in my spare time. some of you may remember back in nov 08 when i got it. heres what it looked like on 1/4/10 (the way i got it)

Good to "hear" from you again. Both trucks look really sharp. 8-) Life's all about choices and i have no doubt you'll make the right ones as you've done in the past. :-) I've been lookin' for you down here in SW Florida - do you ever get to the Wal-Mart DC in Arcadia on 17? :?

Growing tired of the "long haul" Pat? Your pick-up truck looks pretty snazzy. While it's not really my thing, it's not overly done and tasteful.

The first 386 I saw that I liked, it's AWESOME! The green looks great with the pin stirpes and it was customized very well. Chevy looks great, I hope to have a C10 like that some day.

Pat:

I wish you luck with your decision...whatever it may be.

I was de-identifying and decalling a Clark Transfer KW W900 this morning. The driver had just left Marten Transport after 10 years. I asked him why he left and he said that he can't make a living doing 60 mile trips...this because MTL is shipping a lot by rail and it has cut into O/O mileage. And he said it was time for a change!

Maybe you can sign on with Clark Transfer and come to Acme for your inspections and my decal job!  :-D 8-) :-o

BTW...because of the crappy overcast sky this morning, I DID NOT shoot that KW. The unit number is 566 and the driver's last name is Wee.

Hey Pat,how about telling us about your new "gig"? Do you find it hard to sleep with that reefer behind your truck??
Title: Re: still alive and kicking......
Post by: pat on February 09, 2010, 11:00:23 AM
I actually don't have to spend many nights sleeping with the unit on  8-) Basically we deliver to 5 syscos in Florida; @ in Alabama, 1 in Georgia, and 1 in South Carolina. The instate loads are ready to be picked up the day they are due. and the due times are anywhere from 0700 to 1400. The out of state loads are ready early, and usually those loads are the ones sleeping with the reefer unit on. Farthest Florida location is Medley, which is in the Miami area 350miles away. Most loads have backhauls, but a lot of them are come back empty. Paid empty, of course.

About 70 miles i guess - Exit 224 off I-75. Oddly enough i was up that way this afternoon - took the wife and a friend to the Prime Outlets in Ellenton off the same exit. I took a ride west on the main drag a few miles but couldn't find the Sysco DC. Must be nearby cause 1/2 the people in the place we had lunch were wearing Sysco shirts. :-D

Wow Pat cant believe I just saw this thread nice to see you back on here. The truck still looks good as always and I think it looks better with the white trailer, is that a roll door? So how is dedicated working for you home weekly daily, still getting the miles with Sni?
