These first pics are from the rest area overlooking I-90 and the Columbia River, right after I-90 crosses the aforementioned river at Vantage.

And the rest are from I-90 from some point or other east of the Cascades, and the road from Moses lake to Pullman.

Darned if you weren't the first to look at this post as well, Nate, hehe.  :-D Thanks for your comments on the pics, glad you liked them! As for the Ford pickup, I wonder if that's a Powerstroke diesel or a V10, if it's a V10 he would be better off pulling the pickup with the van, hehe.

And you're probably right on the vegetable there, Nate, looks like corn now that you mention it!

Its most likely a Powerstroke cornbinder, he would be crazy to do that to a V10, but he's crazy for even doing that at all in the first place, so I guess its possible, im glad he can affoard the fuel prices. :-(

The trailer in the minivan shot has got to be the longest Eagle Bridge livebottom I've ever seen.

When I see trucks like that Ford pickup, one word comes to mind: WHY?????

Yep, I guess it was apple season, at least that's the impression we got; there were booths all over along the roads selling apples, especially around Yakima and the road leading up towards Rainier from there, and the apple packing plants were full of trucks dropping off crates. I didn't go into any of them, as I assumed their security people might have had objections.

Same here. Makes absolutely no sense to me whatsoever, but hey, if it makes sense to the guys driving them, let them worry about always having to bring a ladder to even get into the things...  :-D

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you've been to this spot since 2007 right?  Was this your first visit here?

I did find a good spot at Vantage to shoot traffic going both ways, with the Columbia in the background, yes. I believe that was last year. I'll most likely go back next year, when we'll be heading over to WA for the ATHS convention and antique truck show in Yakima, WA, which coincided with the 60th birthday of one of my relatives in western WA. ;)
